What Happens If I'm Not Home When the Lawn Service Arrives?

Short answer: nothing you need to worry about. Most of our clients aren't home when we mow, and the job goes ahead exactly as scheduled.

How Access Works

As long as we can get to the lawn — through an unlocked side gate, an open driveway, or whatever access arrangement suits your property — we don't need you present. If your property normally requires a locked gate to be opened, just make sure it's unlocked before your scheduled time, or let us know an alternative way in.

For holiday homes and properties visited only occasionally, we're used to working entirely without the owner present, coordinating access and scheduling remotely.

What If Access Isn't Available?

If we arrive and genuinely can't get in — a locked gate with no alternative access, for example — this can delay the job or, in some cases, incur a small access fee to cover the wasted trip. Letting us know about any access issues ahead of time avoids this entirely.

How You'll Know It's Done

We don't require you to be home to confirm the work, but if you'd like photo updates after your visit, just let us know — many clients, particularly those who aren't on-site regularly, find this reassuring.

What About Pets?

If you have pets that would normally be inside or supervised during a visit, make sure they're secured before we arrive, whether or not you're home yourself.

The Bottom Line

For the vast majority of clients, not being home is simply the normal way things work — set up reliable access once, and every future visit runs smoothly without you needing to plan around it.
