How to Cancel or Pause a Lawn Service
Life changes — you go on holiday, sell the property, or simply want a break. Here's how pausing or cancelling an ongoing lawn service actually works.
Pausing Is Usually the Easier Option
If you're going away for a few weeks, selling soon, or just need a short break, pausing rather than cancelling outright is usually the simplest approach. A quick message letting us know your dates is generally all that's needed — no forms, no penalty, and your regular schedule picks back up when you're ready.
One thing worth knowing: a longer pause during the growing season often means your lawn needs a bit more attention on the first visit back, since growth doesn't stop just because mowing does. That's completely normal and simply factored into that first visit.
Cancelling Altogether
If you're cancelling for good — moving, switching properties, or no longer needing the service — just let us know. A straightforward, no-lock-in arrangement means there's no cancellation fee or awkward process; you simply confirm you'd like to stop, and that's that.
What About Notice Periods?
While we appreciate advance notice where possible so we can adjust scheduling for our team, reasonable, genuine circumstances (moving quickly, unexpected life changes) are always accommodated without drama. We'd rather have an honest conversation than hold anyone to rigid terms that don't fit their situation.
Coming Back Later
If you've paused or cancelled and want to restart down the track — after returning from an extended trip, moving back into a property, or just deciding it's time again — we're always happy to pick things back up. Just get in touch when you're ready.
